About the Random Number Wheel
This wheel starts with the numbers 1 to 10, one slice each. Spin it when you need an unpredictable number: a turn order, a classroom draw, a guessing game or the next page to read. Every number has the same chance of coming up.
To use a different range, replace the list with your own numbers, one per line, such as 1 to 20 or only the even numbers. Turn on the option to remove the winner before the next spin and you draw without repeats, which suits raffles and bingo-style games where each number can only appear once.
Ways to use it
- Draw raffle tickets by number without repeats
- Choose which question or page to read next
- Run quick maths warm-ups with a random number
- Decide the order of players in a board game
Random Number Wheel: questions and answers
Can I change the range of numbers?
Yes. Clear the list in the Names tab and type your own numbers, one per line. You can use any numbers or even words.
How do I draw numbers without repeats?
Tick Remove winner before the next spin in the Names tab. Each number leaves the wheel after it has come up.
Is every number equally likely?
Yes, unless you repeat a number on several lines, which gives it more slices and a better chance.
How many numbers can the wheel hold?
Up to 2,000 entries. With more than about 60 the wheel shows colours only, and the winning number appears in the result box.
