Yes or No Wheel
Can't decide? Let the wheel say yes or no.
Wheel with 2 entries: Yes, No
About the Yes or No Wheel
A yes or no wheel turns a small dilemma into a single spin. It starts with two equal slices, so the result is a fair 50/50 until you decide otherwise. That makes it handy for choices where you have no strong preference and simply need to move on: whether to order dessert, who takes the first turn, or if tonight is a film night.
Because the list is editable, you can change the odds. Type Yes twice and it becomes twice as likely as No. Add a third line such as Ask again for a more playful result. Many people use the wheel as a gut check: if you feel a pang of disappointment when it lands on one answer, you already know what you wanted.
Ways to use it
- Settle small choices with friends without a long debate
- Add a Maybe slice for party rounds and forfeits
- Teach probability by changing the number of Yes and No slices and comparing results
- Break a tie when a group is split evenly
Yes or No Wheel: questions and answers
Is the yes or no wheel really 50/50?
Yes. With the default two slices each answer has the same chance, and the result is chosen with your browser's secure random generator before the wheel moves. It only changes if you add or repeat entries yourself.
How do I make Yes more likely?
Add Yes on another line. Each line is its own slice, so two Yes lines and one No line give Yes a two in three chance.
Can I add Maybe or Ask again?
Yes. Type any extra option on a new line and the slices resize automatically. You can change the colours in the Style tab.
Is a spin a good way to make an important decision?
It works best for small, low-stakes choices. For bigger decisions, use the wheel to notice your own reaction rather than as the final answer.
