About the Who Goes First Wheel

Starting a board game often stalls on one question: who goes first? Arguments about the youngest player, the birthday closest to today or the longest hair are all arbitrary. A spin is quicker and nobody can say it was rigged against them.

The wheel begins with six players. Type the real names, spin to find the first player, then use Remove winner before the next spin to place everyone else in order. After six spins you have a complete turn order. The same trick decides who presents first in a meeting or who serves first in a friendly sports match.

Who Goes First Wheel: questions and answers

How do I get the whole turn order, not just the first player?

Enter all the players, tick Remove winner before the next spin, and spin once for every player. The order they come up is your turn order.

How many players can I add?

As many as you like, up to 2,000. For a crowd, the winner is shown in the result box so you can read every name.

Is it fair if some players are added twice?

A player written on two lines gets two slices, so they are twice as likely to win. Keep one line each for an equal chance.

Can I use it for teams instead of people?

Yes. Type team names, colours or numbers. The list is plain text, so anything works.
